Vegan Wine
Though made entirely the same way as all wines, vegan wines are wines in which during the winemaking step of "fining" that is needed to filter the wine, no animal-based products are used. The most common fining agents used by the wine industry are egg whites and milk protein. Vegan wines instead use alternatives such as clay or plant-based fining agents.

Critique Review

A restrained rather than showy sauvignon blanc with melon, guava and passionfruit flavours that are nicely integrated. A textural and appealing wine. Drink 2020-2023
Bob Campbell
This is a soothing Sauvignon Blanc that's all about tender texture rather than energetic aromatics. This is wild-fermented, partly in old oak with extended time on lees. The result is a full-bodied Sauvignon that caresses the palate and provides a mouth-coating texture. The crisp acidity on the finish offers the only angle on the medium-length finish.

Vineyard Info
At Seresin Estate, we farm biodynamically. This means we work in harmony with seasonal, earthy and celestial rhythms. Our wines therefore express a sense of time, with wines from each harvest subtly different from its predecessor. We keep the vines healthy by feeding the soil with animal manure composts, and spraying the vine leaves with teas made from local herbs and minerals. We put more back into the land than we take out. As a result, our wines express an ever stronger sense of place. We see the vineyard as a living organism, a space that our workers, animals and wild birds, flowers, worms and insects can share. Our wines express this sense of life and harmony.
We embrace the principles of organics and biodynamics in our viticulture and winemaking. Sourced from our old vines that thrive on river silt terraces in the Central Wairau Valley as well as our clay-rich Raupo Creek vineyard, which has a gentle north-west facing aspect, settled in the centre of the Omaka valley. Both vineyards are managed following Organic and Biodynamic principles.
