Vineyard Info

Zonte's Footstep is a proud, independent Australian wine producer. We take our vineyards and our wine, but not ourselves too seriously... Our grapes are sourced from our own, as well as our mate's, vineyards, from regions that produce expressive, varietal characteristics for the grapes being grown. Located in the McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek, Adelaide Hills, Barossa and further afield. Hence the simple, but diligent pursuit of producing wines that reflect a sense of place, style and purpose. We have always aimed to produce wines with personality and expression... That's why we gave them names. Now these wines have evolved to have a face of their own!

The grapes used for ZONTE'S FOOTSTEP "Excalibur" are sourced hand tended blocks in the Woodside sub-region of the Adelaide Hills. Our shining sword rising from the water' moment wasn't quite of Arthurian legend, but by a misty dam early one morning, the first rapier-like cut of this Sauvignon Blanc inspired our Excalibur.
