Vineyard Info
Our vineyards cover 250 Ha, with a cold and rainy climate in the winter, followed by hot and dry summers with slight microclimate variations in some of our vineyards. Our grapes grow on low fertile soils, mainy granite with several schist pockets. Dao DOC was established in 1908 and is located in centre-north Portugal, Beira Alta province. It was the country's first demarcated regiong for still wines and is also known as the "Portuguese Burgundy".
