BRAND'S LAIRA "BLOCKERS" - CABERNET SAUVIGNON
A Very deep crimson purple. This fine cabernet has rich plum, raisin and oak on the nose. Blackcurrant, spices, cassis, red berry, vanilla, mocha and earthy tannins. Finishing long and lingering with oak and more mocha. A fruit driven, medium weight palate of cassis and red berry flavours, blackcurrant, spices, peppermint and Cabernet leaf notes. A rich, rewarding Cabernet. Pairs beautifully with roast beef.

Info: Established by Captain Stentiford in 1893 the Laira Vineyards was purchased by Eric Brand in 1950. 'Blockers' was the name given to Coonawarra land holders who said their grapes to larger wineries in the 1950s and 1960s. Eric Brand was a 'Blocker' before releasing his first Brand's Laira wine in 1966.
