Vineyard Info
Located in the middle of the Côte de Beaune, Pommard is one of the most famous Burgundian AOCs. The vineyard is primarily planted on slopes between 240 and 380 meters altitude with eastern and southeastern exposure. The village is divided by a stream, resulting in a complex mixture of soils. Much more clay and iron on the right bank and an alluvial fan (« fan cone ») on the left bank. The clay-limestone soils are well drained thanks to the inclusion of rock debris.
