CA' DE' ROCCHI "LA BASTIA" - Amarone della Valpolicella - Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara - Veneto, ITALY

With an intense ruby red to purple appearance, this wine has a pronounced nose of fruit cake, plum, vanilla, dried sultana and raisin. The palate is vigorous yet well-balanced structure with a lovely acidity persistent with toasted touches. Perfect with roasted and grilled meat, pot roast, game with polenta and ripe cheeses.

Product Description

Founded on the shores of Garda Lake in 1968, Casa Vitivinicola Tinazzi is the story of a legacy that spans three generations and two regions.

It all started almost 50 years ago, when Eugenio Tinazzi decided to enter the wine industry with his son Gian Andrea, who was only 18 years old, but already driven by a proactive and entrepreneurial spirit.

The success of the winery reflected the increasingly high reputation of Valpolicella wines, Amarone and Ripasso above all, which Casa Vitivinicola Tinazzi has always mastered, receiving international acclaim for its Ca’ de’Rocchi “La Bastia” Amarone della
Valpolicella.

The wines of the Cantine Tinazzi are now sold in more than 30 countries around the world.

Vineyard Info

The history of the Casa Vitivinicola Tinazzi began with the commitment and passion of Eugenio Tinazzi at the end of the 1960s in Cavaion Veronese, part of the splendid hinterland of Lake Garda. Gian Andrea Tinazzi, the founder’s son, then only 18 years of age, worked alongside his father in running the business and gradually broadened the company's horizons, both in terms of production and markets.

Today, Gian Andrea’s children, Francesca and Giorgio, work with their father in managing what has become a major production group based in Lazise, on Lake Garda. The family owns vineyards and estates not only in Veneto, in the areas of Bardolino and Valpolicella, but also in another region of great character and growing qualitative potential, Apulia, a region they love and which they always believed had great winemaking potential.

The CA'DE ROCCHI ""LA BASTIA"" Amarone della Valpolicella is made from selected vineyards in a hilly area at 150-300 metres above sea level in Valpolicella. These grapes go through a special ""apassimento"" process using concentrated dried grapes the offer complex and full-bodied wines.
