Excellent tawny colour gained through ageing in small oak barrels. The nose shows layers of mature fruit aromas, beautifully integrated with nuances of nuts and crystallized dried fruits. On the palate very smooth and mellow, with a well-balanced and long finish.

The quality consistency for which Smith Woodhouse Ports are renowned is underpinned by Smith Woodhouse’s own Madalena vineyard from where the wines are largely sourced. This small Quinta (vineyard property) has the highest “A” quality rating and is located in the Rio Torto district, acknowledged as one of the finest Port growing areas of the Douro Valley. Symington was named Ethical Company of the Year in The Drinks Business 2019 Green Awards. This Fine Ruby is a blend of young Ports from different harvests. They are especially blended to have robust fresh fruity aromas and flavours.
