Vineyard Info
Moillard was founded in 1850 in NUits-Saint-Georges, at the heart of Côte de Nuits. It is still a 100% family owned by Famille Helfrich. We still vinify our red wines in the historical winery in Nuits Saint Georges and age some of our best crus in our vaulted cellar built in 1873. We are an estate of 10 hectares and a négociant éleveur. Maison Moillard is an institution in Nuits-Saint-Georges. Our House has unique know-how in the art of making and maturing Burgundy wines and Crémants and offers a fine selection of appellations throughout Burgundy, from Chablis to Mâcon and up to in Beaujolais.
Our Montagny 1er Cru is from vineyards in the southern tip of the Côte Chalonnaise, 4 villages (Buxy, Montagny-lès-Buxy, Jully-lès-Buxy and St. Vallerin) share the appellation Montagny, which produces only white wines. The Climat "Les Bouchots" means "Bushes" and refers to the clearing of the land. An ideal soil for Chardonnay, consisting of limestone and marl.
