Spain's wine history stretches back to thousands of centuries B.C., making it one of the oldest and biggest wine-producing countries in the world! It offers a variety of wine styles but is famous for its characteristic bold and oaky red wines, to be enjoyed on every occasion. In the 16th century, Spanish settlers and missionaries arrived on the South American continent, bringing with them wine culture and vine plants from Europe. However, it is only when Bordeaux grape varietals like Malbec and Carmenere arrived did Argentina & Chile find their respective ambassadors grape varietals. Tonight, we will be featuring wines from these three Spanish-speaking countries and have a taste of the easy-going Latino way of life!
