Vineyard Info
The Viallet family have been working the vineyards of Savoie since 1966, when Marcel and Yvonne purchased their first estate, Domaine Clos Réservé, in Apremont, a mere 10km from Chambéry. Their second son Philippe joined the business in 1984 and became owner of the 6ha of the prestigious Chateau d'Apremont which rests on clay and limestone soils with urgnoian sediments from the Cretaceous period.
Around this former 10th century château, the surrounding hills produce this wonderful white wine, made from the Jacquère grape variety. This vineyard planted in the regional park of La Chartreuse represents 6 hectares of Jacquère in one piece with a beautiful exposure.
