Cielo y Tierra is one of the oldest family-owned wineries in Italy, founded in 1908 and one the leading producers in Italy, offering many wines with a great quality/price ratio. Key wines are produced in Veneto/Friuli regions. Casa Defra (the house of the brothers) was founded in the same year of 1908, in a small estate in front of the Berici hills, Vicenza.
Casa DeFra vineyard is characterised by a chalky soil of marine origin. Moderate, subcontinental climate with mild winters, without late freezing. Summers are windy, with an annual precipitation of 800-110mm/year. During very dry summers, irrigation in the vineyard is provided.
