Vineyard Info
Château Lamothe-Vincent is composed of two main pieces, one lying at Montignac, the other situated at Castelvieil, both in the Entre-Deux-Mers area. Clayey-siliceous brow resting on rocky limestone, silty-clayey soils on a deeper layer of clay enriched with ferrous particles at Montignac. Deep clayey soils at Castelvieil. North exposure for white varieties. 28 acres.
As a family-run business, the Chateau was founded by the gread grandparents of the current owners of the winery, who each bought their first plots in 1873 and 1920, later reuniting the grapes to create the wines of today. Indeed, Saint-Vincent, patron of vine growers, seemed to guide this family… Château Lamothe-Vincent also benefits from a constant determination to explore new ways of vinification and maturing from current winemarker, Fabien Vincent. Training experiences in France, New-Zealand and Australia have opened his mind to retain only the best in the Old and New world styles. Today the fruit seems at its best and we are certain that this fourth generation will know how to use it…
